Hermie Abraham is an accomplished lawyer with Advocation, where she works collaboratively with employees as well as employers on their employment law, labour, and human resource matters.
With over 17 years of combined experience in human resources and as a lawyer, Hermie works proactively in strategically advising, representing, and training her clients on all labour and employment law matters including:
Hermie has written articles for and provided comments on a number of legal and human resources publications, including Lawyers’ Weekly and HR Professional Magazine. She is regularly called upon to speak and provide training on various aspects of employment laws.
She is a lawyer in good standing with the Law Society of Upper Canada in Ontario. She has earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Dalhousie University (1994) and a Bachelor of Laws degree from Osgoode Hall Law School, York University (2008).
In addition to being a prolific lawyer, Hermie is also an experienced speaker and has spoken on topical legal issues at various high-profile events and forums.
